Sighting reports: include location (GPS or nearest landmark), date and time, estimated
size vs. a house cat, coat pattern (rosettes vs. spots), tail length, and photo/video if available.
Remember: a definitive ID requires genetics — but field reports guide where researchers place camera
traps, so every credible report counts.
